Guidelines

Dear Friends of Goodwill,

DonationsGoodwill will gladly accept gently used clothing, household items, computers and automobiles. We know that you want your donation to do the most good for your community. Since we do not have the resources to repair broken objects, these items are thrown away at our expense, which reduces the funding for our much needed mission services.

Although it is hard to say "No" to a valued donor, there are some items we consider unacceptable donations:

  • Wall to wall carpeting
  • Mattress and box springs
  • Large appliances (refrigerators, air conditioners, washers, dryers, water heaters, dishwashers, etc)
  • Building materials (windows, screens, doors, lumber, sinks, tubs)
  • Oversized items such as pianos and organs
  • Furniture with rips, tears, soil, stains or in obvious need of repair
  • Hospital beds, sleeper sofas
  • Tires, wheels and batteries
  • Exercise Equipment
  • Outdated or recalled cribs, carriers, car seats
  • Fire arms and ammunition
  • Paint ball guns
  • Flammable, toxic materials, magazines, newspapers
No Beds

Please do not leave items outside our donation centers after hours because they will be exposed to the elements and may be vandalized or stolen.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding on our donation guidelines.

Thank you for your support and choosing to donate to your Goodwill Industries.
