Goodwill Kicks-off National Goodwill Week with New Logo, New Look

(Fredericksburg, VA) – Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is undergoing a “major change with a new look and new logo,” says Mike West, vice president for marketing and development at Goodwill Industries in Fredericksburg.
On Monday, May 8, 2006, Goodwill will be kicking-off the National Goodwill Industries Week Celebration at their downtown offices on 1414 Caroline Street in Fredericksburg.

“Mayor Tom Tomzak of Fredericksburg, and the new president of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, Bob Hagan will be our featured guest speakers,” says Mike West. “The festivities will kick-off at 12:30pm and conclude with the unveiling of Rappahannock Goodwill Industries new corporate logo followed by refreshments, and tours of Goodwill’s Job Help Center and our Packaging & Assembly Facility,” West added.

The event will be one of many held throughout the country as Goodwill’s everywhere will be celebrating their National Goodwill Industries Week which is conducted the first full week of May.

“Goodwill Retail Stores will be also be hosting a ceremony at 12:30pm in each of our five stores including a new logo unveiling ceremony and we will be serving cake and punch to all of our customers,” West concluded. Goodwill stores are located on Plank Road in Fredericksburg, on Route 17 in south Stafford County, Doc Stone Road in north Stafford County, Culpeper Town Square, Culpeper, and on Tappahannock Boulevard in the Town of Tappahannock.

Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is a private not-for-profit organization that serves the city of Fredericksburg and a 12-county region. It provides work opportunities and job training to people with barriers to employment, particularly those with disabilities. Its operations include a commercial laundry, off-site custodial and administrative services, a packaging and assembly plant and five retail stores and donation centers.
