Culpeper Girl Scouts and Goodwill join forces for Community Drive

(Fredericksburg, VA) – Rappahannock Goodwill Industries and Culpeper County Girl Scout Troops are joining forces for the 14th Annual Goodwill to Others Community Drive this Saturday, November 4th in Culpeper. Caroline County, King George County, Stafford County and Spotsylvania County. Community members can get involved by donating to a local Girl Scout Troops, or by taking their donations to the Culpeper Goodwill Store located at 504 Culpeper Town Square between 9:00am and 4:00pm on Saturday.
“All donations that come into the Culpeper Goodwill store this Saturday, November 4th will count towards the Girl Scouts’ Community Drive,” said Mike West, vice president of marketing and development for Rappahannock Goodwill Industries. “The program works like this. For every 300 pounds of donated goods collected, Goodwill will give a $50 voucher to the Culpeper Department of Social Services to be distributed to families in need in the region and are redeemable at the Culpeper Goodwill Store,” West added.

Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is a private not-for-profit organization that serves the city of Fredericksburg and a 12-county region. It provides work opportunities and job training to people with barriers to employment, particularly those with disabilities. Its operations include a commercial laundry, off-site custodial and administrative services, an outsourcing and contract facility and five retail stores and donation centers.
