(Fredericksburg, VA) – Rappahannock Goodwill’s newest Retail Store and Job Help Center is now at Cosner’s Corner in Massaponax. The new store and Job Help Center opened on Saturday, March 29th and are located at 10070 Jefferson Davis Highway in Massaponax behind WaWa across from the new Cosner Corner Target store. This will be the 7th store to open for Goodwill since 1991 when Goodwill’s very first store in Spotsylvania moved to Fredericksburg. “We are very excited to return to Spotsylvania County with a brand new store and Job Help Center,” said Mike West, Goodwill’s vice president for marketing and development. “Expanding Goodwill’s employment programs and services to Spotsylvania County through our Job Help Center is important to local residents and to our mission,” West added. The new Retail Store created 15 new jobs for the area and one new job in the Job Help Center. It is also a convenient location for Spotsylvania residents to drop off their donations at the new drive thru Donation Center.
Goodwill stores are a great source for clothing, toys, books, electronics, designer labels and home furnishings. Every time you make a purchase or donate to Goodwill, you help support our mission of providing quality vocational and educational services to people with barriers to employment – particularly people with disabilities. Last year, Rappahannock Goodwill provided services to over 2,000 people in our region. Goodwill truly is changing lives through the power of work! To find the new store and Job Help Center just look for the new Rite Aid Pharmacy and WaWa on the right across from the new Target in Massaponax as your travel south on Route 1. Turn right at the stop light at WaWa and Goodwill’s new facility is located behind WaWa.
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is a private not-for-profit organization that serves the city of Fredericksburg and a 12-county region. It provides work opportunities and job training to people with barriers to employment, particularly those with disabilities. Its operations include three job help centers, a commercial laundry, off-site custodial and administrative services, an outsourcing and contract facility and seven retail stores and donation centers.
