Ways to Donate to Goodwill

There are many different ways that you, an individual, or a company, can support your local Goodwill. Rappahannock Goodwill assists people who need employment, particularly those who have a barrier that is preventing them from working and leading a productive life.

Sometimes we take for granted the education, skills, and training we have that allow us to live and work independently every day.

How can you help? Here are a few ways that you can assist us in spreading the “goodwill” throughout the community to benefit and improve the lives of many people in our region:

  • Donate items to Goodwill Stores
Each time you donate gently used clothing or household items to Rappahannock Goodwill, you help change someone’s life by giving him or her the chance to work. Your donations of gently used goods can make a difference for people in our community, and help make a healthier planet as well. Your donations are tax-deductible.
The Donate Movement, powered by Goodwill®, challenges all of us to donate conscientiously and responsibly. To learn more about The Donate Movement, go to donate.goodwill.org.
  • Make a Financial Contribution
Cash, gifts, endowments and bequests to Rappahannock Goodwill are tax deductible. To donate right now, just click the link at the left, “Donate Online”. If you would like to send a donation by mail, you can send it to: Rappahannock Goodwill, PO Box 905, Fredericksburg, VA 22404.
  • Donate your Vehicle to Goodwill
By donating your vehicle to Goodwill, you may be helping someone whose barrier to employment is transportation. All donations to Rappahannock Goodwill help people in our community – especially those with disabilities – find employment.
  • Donate your time
Consider volunteering at one of our Job Help Centers. Your local Goodwill’s Job Help Centers are seeking individuals with great communication skills and experience using computers to navigate today’s job market. If you’re interested in learning more about RGI’s Volunteer Program, please contact our Manager of Volunteer Services, Shanna Boutchyard, at (540) 371-3070, or email at shanna.boutchyard@fredgoodwill.org.
