Healthcare Laundry Services
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) customer base in the healthcare market includes fifteen (15) regional hospitals and medical care facilities. These include private hospitals, military hospitals and medical centers, military retirement homes, dental clinics, surgical and radiology clinics and various other types of healthcare facilities. Our healthcare customers, due to the nature of their business, need RGI to process their laundry quickly. RGI provides pick-up and delivery services to area hospitals and medical facilities six days per week throuhgout the year. RGI’s processing includes soil sorting, washing, drying, folding, and packaging all of our customers’ laundry.
In June 2007, Rappahannock Goodwill’s commercial laundry earned a near-perfect score during an inspection and won a three-year national accreditation from The Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC).
The national recognition means that RGI’s laundry operation meets the federal and industry standards for excellence in processing healthcare textiles. By receiving this national accreditation, Rappahannock Goodwill Industries laundry can compete for new healthcare contracts in the future.
