Goodwill Opens New Job Help Center and Store in Spotsylvania

(Fredericksburg, VA) – Rappahannock Goodwill will be having a Grand Opening Ceremony for its newest Job Help Center and Retail Store in Spotsylvania County on Saturday, March 29th. The Job Help Center and Retail Store are located at 10070 Jefferson Davis Highway in Massaponax behind WaWa across from the new Cosner Corner Target. A live radio remote on WGRX-FM Thunder 104.5 will be held live from 9am-12pm at the store. An Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held at 10am with local dignitaries. Complimentary pastries will be served to our customers and donors from 9am-11am and free hot dogs and soft drinks between 11am-2pm. Other festivities will be held from 10AM to 2PM including in store discounts, door prizes, three $100 Goodwill Gift Certificates given away, children’s activities, J.C. the Clown, and more! This will be the 7th store to open for Goodwill since 1991 when Goodwill’s very first store in Spotsylvania moved to Fredericksburg. “We are very excited to return to Spotsylvania County with a brand new store and Job Help Center,” said Mike West, Goodwill’s vice president for marketing and development. “Expanding Goodwill’s employment programs and services to Spotsylvania County through our Job Help Center is important to local residents and to our mission,” West added. The new Retail Store created 15 new jobs for the area and one new job in the Job Help Center.

Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is a private not-for-profit organization that serves the city of Fredericksburg and a 12-county region. It provides work opportunities and job training to people with barriers to employment, particularly those with disabilities. Its operations include three job help centers, a commercial laundry, off-site custodial and administrative services, an outsourcing and contract facility and seven retail stores and donation centers.
