(Fredericksburg, VA) Rappahannock Goodwill will be conducting a Grand Opening Ceremony for its newest retail store in Louisa at the Louisa Market Place at 501 East Main Street, next to Food Lion on Saturday, March 1st. Festivities will be held from 11AM to 2PM including free hot dogs and drinks, in store discounts, door prizes, children’s activities and more! This will be the 6th store to open for Goodwill since 1991. “We are excited about our retail expansion into Louisa County,” says Kerry Ebbert, Goodwill’s vice president for retail operations. “The folks in Louisa have welcomed us with open arms and have really made us feel like a part of the community.” The new Louisa store created 15 new jobs for the local residents and will offer affordable prices to shoppers.
Goodwill is a great source for clothing, toys, books, electronics, designer labels and home furnishings. Every time you make a purchase or donate to Goodwill, you help support their mission of providing quality vocational and educational services to people with barriers to employment – particularly people with disabilities. Last year, Rappahannock Goodwill provided services to over 2,000 people in our region. Goodwill truly is changing lives through the power of work! Rappahannock Goodwill Industries is a private not-for-profit organization that serves the city of Fredericksburg and a 12-county region. It provides work opportunities and job training to people with barriers to employment, particularly those with disabilities. Its operations include two job help centers, a commercial laundry, off-site custodial and administrative services, an outsourcing and contract facility and five retail stores and donation centers.
